Jeff Harrolle

Licensed Professional Counselor

I believe that when people are suffering, they deserve someone that not only genuinely cares but also has the knowledge and experience to really understand their struggle. I feel that its far better to focus on a few areas you are really passionate about and really develop deep understanding in those areas than to try and know a little about everything. I am experienced with a wide range of issues which impact daily living but specialize in those related to Trauma, Eating Disorders. Borderline Personality Disorder, and Substance Abuse.

My approach to therapy is based on the needs of the individual and the challenges they are facing. I primarily practice REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy) for general counseling issues. For Trauma and PTSD, I favor EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) but sometimes find NET (Narrative Exposure Therapy) to be helpful. When dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder, DBT ( Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and DBT Skills Training have been shown be very effective and they are also often a good fit for those struggling with Eating Disorders.

I believe that therapy should always be a safe and secure experience where we can explore your personal struggles and find real answers. I strive to provide a comfortable environment where you can always expect understanding and compassion but also honesty and a solutions based approach to helping you meet your goals. My focus is on helping adolescents and adults who are affected by Eating Disorders, Trauma, Substance Abuse and Mood Disorders.

I am passionate about what I do and enjoy working with clients that are motivated to do the work necessary to improve their lives. I do my best to make sure finances are not an issue and will try to find a way to work with anyone who is willing to put in the effort to help themselves.

I believe that you are stronger than you know and I will work with you to help you embrace that strength and find your voice. I know life gets difficult for everyone at times and, as much as we may not want to, sometimes we need help maneuvering through. Asking for help isn't easy,  it takes bravery and determination, but in doing so we can begin to heal.

I will do all I can to help you find your way. I will provide a safe environment for you to explore your needs but also to challenge yourself and grow. I believe a therapeutic relationship is just that, a relationship, and it's that relationship that will allow us to work together to find real solutions.

I have been in the field of counseling since 2002. I have extensive knowledge in the issues that affect daily living with in-depth experience in the field of addiction. I am also passionate about helping individuals process through unresolved grief and loss.

Additionally, I am a LPC-S and offer supervision to new counselors working toward their licensure.

Licensed Professional Counselor

When one needs help, it is often times difficult to become completely vulnerable enough to disclose what troubles us to another. My passion is to provide a safe, altruistic environment where one can reveal their true struggles while also obtaining face-to-face understanding. When we learn to expose ourselves whole-heartedly with someone we trust, I believe this is where true connection is established.
Through the guidance of therapy, I believe one can discover significant personal growth such as learning to enhance aspects of oneself, discover the feelings one may have about his/herself and recognize the fruitfulness of living.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief, and substance abuse. I look forward to assisting you along your personal journey towards positive change!
