ADULT ADHD
The Problem
ADHD may persist into adulthood in at least 50% of all cases diagnosed in childhood. ADHD in adults is associated with impairment in several life areas like work and relationships. Many of these cases have never been diagnosed and few are receiving treatment.
The Solution
The Adult ADHD Psychological Evaluation will determine the presence and onset of inattentive and hyperactive/impulsive symptoms, adverse impact on ability to function in everyday life, DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, co-morbid conditions, and need for treatment.
PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION
The Need
An accurate diagnosis of Adult ADHD is the first clinical intervention for individuals seeking an assessment and treatment for this clinical syndrome.
The Standard
Dr. Schumacher’s evaluation employs the essential components for the functional evaluation and diagnosis of Adult ADHD recommended by experts in the field J. Russell Ramsay and Russell A. Barkley.
Adult ADHD Psychological Evaluation
Information for this evaluation will be derived from a clinical interview, norm- referenced psychometric rating scales, neurocognitive testing, screening for mental disorders, and collateral information from a knowledgeable informant. A final report will be available within 10 days of the clinical interview
